Yves Brunier

This French landscape architect has such a creative outlook onto representation of landscapes.

I chose this famous piece of his work "Model for the Garden Rooms of the Mueseumpark Rotterdam 1992" because I find it encouraging me to explore landscapes in unconventional ways. It is not necessarily his design but his method and process to producing the design that this piece shows.

The colours in the collage suggest aggression to which I think is used in the exploitation between culture and nature rather than a merge. Additionally, the planting chosen contrasts with these aggressive hard piece of landscape as they form a subtlety and comfort for this landscape.

Overall, I think his collages are very clever and convey the landscape as well as emotions within it that he wishes to express in this environment.
