Jacques Wirtz

The curved topiary attracted me to this project, this is in fact Jacques own private garden. The organic form spreading right across the walk way feels almost like its following you. It's friendly and welcoming yet mysterious.

I struggled to find a lot of research on this project so I sought for another project, this time a private garden for a client. Overall it is a relatively small section of the garden but the finery of the hedge is mesmerizing I imagine that it would attract a variety of demographics. It is just so warm and looks plush and soft, he has developed a craft of the illusion for planting with emotion and touch. The fact that this is an open seating space is reinforced by the curved hedge too. It is truly beautiful and makes me think that topiary can be endless in creativity.
The topiary style is cloud pruned.
