Topher Delaney

 Modernist Organic Farm 

All of Delaney's work is inspiring and in my opinion revolutionary. She uses such simple forms and concepts and executes them in a way I deemed unthinkable. It was difficult to choose just one piece but I chose the Modernist Organic Farm simply because it sparked me. I did not really understand what it was when I saw it without the title, I thought it was a barrier of some sort but now I understand they are interconnected rectangular pieces to assist upward growth of planting. However, I still see it as multi-functional with my initial thought of it being a memorial of some sort. I believe it would be a pretty barrier in dog parks or simple flower beds. The form and arrangement is so geometrical but sporadic which shows purpose and initiative to Delaney as a designer. This is significantly inspiring to me.
