I chose this Landscape Architect because she is extremely well-known and is highly associated with the discipline. She is a landscaper whom no one can have their career within the discipline without hearing her name. I believe she is at the fore front of Landscape Architecture's change that is moving with the 21st century.
After looking at her designs I see a lot of organic shapes and a varied aesthetic but from my personal opinion they focus more on the aesthetic than function.
However, this piece of landscape I see as universal; which in my terms means anybody in the public would feel comfortable to walk up to the landscape and interact with it. The function of the street furniture is very clear but almost disrupts the nature of the landscape because it is so contemporary. It is a pleasing contrast to the eye.
